Jo and Suriya onscreen again
check out Suriya's replies to some questions regarding acting with Jo again
The best loved couple of Kollywood, the beautiful Jyothika and the dashing Suriya, are back in front of the camera. Only this time its for an advertisement which is being screened across major TV channels. Jyothika had taken a break from the screen after marriage and motherhood. But looks like someone hit upon the idea of pairing the real life duo together to recreate the magic once again!
The duo who make their first appearance together after marriage can be seen in the Aircel ad, playing parents to a child. As Jyothika keeps chatting on the mobile, Suriya is seen commenting in the background. For Jyothika fans who were starved for a glimpse of their favourite actor, this is good news indeed.
“WORKING WITH JO AGAIN WAS NICE ” SAYS SURIYA
Suriya speaks exclusively to TOP 10 CINEMA about the ad that brings Jo and him back together in front of the camera…
How did you decide to do this ad? I had already been brand ambassador for Aircel for some time. Recently they came up with this idea of pairing Jo and me together for an ad. We mulled over it and liked the concept so we said yes. It all just fell into place since I knew the people and was comfortable working with them.
How was it working together with Jo again?Working with Jo again was nice. I liked her characterization of a bubbly girl in the ad, very much like she is. It was a fresh and nice experience.
How was the experience for Jo?She loved it. It was a one day shoot so it was convenient for her as she didn’t want to be away from Diya. She felt good facing the camera and being on the sets once again.
Will you both do more ads together? If something really special comes up we may try it out. But for now this is it.

Suriya Cautioned by KS Ravikumar
Suriya’s Aadhavan trailor is already rocking on TV and the actor has changed many get ups in the film. Known to be a dedicated actor he puts his life and soul into the roles he does, perhaps the secret behind his steady rise acclaimed by masses and classes. However director KS Ravikumar cautioned Suriya at the audio launch of Aadhavan.
In front of the entire audience he asked Mrs Lakshmi Sivakumar, Suriyas mother, who was present in the audience to keep a check on her son. The reason? “Suriya has done many dangerously risky scenes in the climax and through the film without using dupes. He is taking too much risk for shots that can be done using Computer Graphics. I wish Suriya would refrain from such unnecessary risks not only for his family’s sake but also for the millions of fans who want to see him on screen.”
We hope Suriya takes this sound advice from the veteran director.
I also wish Surya takes less risks for if something happens to him...we will miss such a wonderful actors movies :)

Watch Surya at filmfare award
Suriya anna : Jo, this is for you
Receiving the Best Actor Award, Suriya said, “This is as much Gautham’s award as it is mine. It was no ordinary task — to play two different roles — and VA was not an ordinary film at all. Doing the film and receiving this award is a very special feeling.” A couple of minutes later, even as the crowd cheered, the actor raised his Black Lady and said, “Jo, this is for you,” to which the Mozhi actress gave an I’m-soproud-of-you smile.
He went on to add, “I see this award as a blessing from Kamal sir. I’m a big fan of his and I’m sure he’s watching my progress. I did two characters in VA, which in itself was a big task. Just imagine a man playing 10 characters in a single film! Only Kamal sir can do that.”
